The "7 R's"
1. Remove Packaging
CardPak's EcoLogical carded packaging removes materials from the waste stream by dramatically reducing the footprint of the package as compared to clamshells, folding cartons and micro-flute containers. In addition, by utilizing RPET blisters we have removed PVC from the waste stream.
2. Reduce Packing
CardPak has reduced the size of the packaging significantly with the ClubPak® and SustainPak® carded packaging concepts. By eliminating the clamshell package, the plastic materials can be reduced by over 60%. Overall package cost is also reduced.
3. Reuse Packaging
CardPak's SustainPak® materials are 100% recycled, thus reused, in both the paperboard components and the RPET blisters. The design of the package allows for easy storage and dispensing of product in the multipack structure. This concept increases the shelf life of the brand and reduces space for the consumer.
4. Renew (able)
CardPak's packaging materials are made from renewable resources. By eliminating the majority of plastic materials, CardPak's SustainPak® utilizes renewable and recyclable paperboard as the main components of the packaging structure.
5. Recycle (able)
The CardPak's SustainPak® package uses 100% recycled paperboard and RPET blisters. All of the materials are recyclable where facilities exist in communities and through industrial reclamation.
6. Revenue
CardPak's design concepts provide greater revenue earning potential by eliminating large amounts of plastics and by using lower cost materials. The improved graphic capability of high visual carded packaging is a merchandising tool for greater shelf appeal and impulse purchasing power.
