History of CardPak
CardPak was formed in 1965 as a spin off from American Packaging Corporation (Ampak). The original group of six founders, led by Paul Baisch, felt that when you put the product in a place where the customer can see it, your sales will fly. Thus, a new era in consumer packaging sales was started when the concept of self-service merchandising was born in carded packaging.
Today Rick and Lisa Thomas continue this partnership with the retail industry, providing:
1) Blister Cards
2) Clamshell Inserts
3) Skin Packaging Board
4) Folding Cartons 5) Unique Visual Packaging Solutions produced on paperboard
The Thomass purchased CardPak in 1997 on the heels of the untimely death of Paul Baisch. In its history, the company has survived a devastating flood and a fire that destroyed most of the equipment and facilities. But, in the face of far-reaching adversity, CardPak survived these personal and business challenges to come back in record fashion.
Today CardPak employs over 140 people, has nearly 1000 active customers, and leads the country in combination run blister cards.
